(SIGHTSCAPES OF AN INSOMNIAC) II
Seductive Myths of Lightness ii explores the possibilities of locating and experiencing insomnia as a visual sight(site). In a way, it is also an attempt to locate the individual consciousness of a modern artist. The sites of the body, bed, visual histories are all signs and thus, rendered as representations or shadows within the work. The viewer interacts with the work as her body becomes much as a part of this negotiation.
Organza fabric, cotton fabric, machine embroidered appliquè, galvanized wire armature, patinated copper wire, satin ribbons and satin fabric, fake nylon hair, nylon net fabric, hand embroidered mirror, velvet fabric, gauze fabric, bird feathers, readymade wooden bench.
