PRIMAL REMINDERS EVERYDAY ENTROPY

The reading cards on the table are a personal tribute to the 17th century Japanese poet Matsuo Basho.  
Inspired by the refined form of Haiku writing and Basho’s seemingly simple imageries from nature opening a realm of philosophical  consciousness, introspection  and a conscious, renewed relationship to environment.

Each card brings together a mundane experience in the form of image and text.
The cards are made as literary reminders to invigorate our memory and to renew our relationship with 
the mundane world of materials and their slow degeneration much akin to our bodies. The text inside each card, as a verb, reminding  us of our own frailty as much as the world of mundane things.
