ON BECOMINGS

On becomings takes its rudimentary formation from pigeon nests, informally crafted in nooks and crannies of human settlements. 

The structure, in its bare form, loose construction, and impermanence, calls for a revision on the notion of architecture and crafting; especially considering such nesting structures housing the young ones of the species for a few months. These nests are also created from remainders-  from shedding of trees, plants and scavenged material leftovers of human settlements. In revising this understanding, what comes to mind is the phrase- 'bare bones', or 'what remains'.

The work takes these aspects and produces an informal 'construction' in its simplicity. The scattered becomes the sculptural.
