ABERRATION I

Synged and torn burlap is layered with velvet. The appearance of smooth, blood coloured velvet between the rough burlap attempts to evoke sensations of wounds on a rough skin.
The velvet has been soaked with resin in some places to provide a sensation of dried blood.
Such skins as those roughened by extreme burden, extreme labour, extreme wear and tear, have been the source of starting this work. 
On a large surface, the size of a single bed, the work becomes a surface skin, of canvas on wall, of a mounted bed put for public display.
